Rabbi Joseph Mendelsohn of Temple Israel followed with the traditional H'amotzi. Special guest speaker was attorney Eugene Roth of Wilkes-Barre who gave a significant tribute to the unselfish volunteer work of Wes Freedman, making the case that Wes is an individual who is most deserving to receive the prestigious Amos Lodge award. Last year's honoree, Rabbi Samuel Sandhaus of the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, presented the Man of the Year Award to Wes Freedman. The event was judged, by many of those who attended, to be a huge and outstanding success. Photos from the event, provided by Michael Weinberg Photography, can be viewed at PBASE.COM.
